You are not unlucky. You are not going through a bout of bad luck. You are certainly not a failure.
Things, both positive and negative, happen all the time. And you need to keep your sense open to be able to perceive the good ones as strongly as the bad ones.
Luck is important, but it can’t be the explanation you give to what’s going on around you.
If the main goal of your job is a number. If there’s no larger purpose, no higher ambition, no bigger system. If when the goal is hit, the counter resets and you start from scratch. If you can do it all on your own, from anywhere, at anytime. If you not doing it, simply means that someone else will take over trying to reach the number.
Then, how long can it last?
The idea that a country can solve its problems by closing its borders is as pointless as the idea that a person can heal their wounds by confining to their own room.
There are two ways to build awareness.
One is top down. It’s about putting your face (your logo) in as many places as possible. It’s about press releases, awards, events, ads. It takes money.
One is bottom up. It’s about engaging with a niche audience wherever they are. It’s about commenting, posting, liking, and sharing common experiences. It takes time.
It’s an important distinction, because the tactics and resources that refer to one strategy cannot be employed for the other.

“Correct. Now is not a good time, could you drop me an email?”
“Sure. I understand you are using my competitor, would you be interested in evaluating my company at renewal.”
“Sorry, it really is not a good time. Could you send an email?”
“Would you be interested in evaluating my company.”
“I keep saying it’s not a good time. Send me an email.”
I understand there’s a script to follow, some boxes to check, a grumpy supervisor. But if this is the job, then sure, AI will take it.
